Trauma-sensitive yoga is a unique approach to yoga, specifically designed to support people living with complex PTSD or those who have experienced complex trauma. This form of yoga is carefully structured to foster a sense of safety and autonomy, allowing participants to move at their own pace and choose what feels comfortable for them.

Trauma-sensitive yoga provides a warm, safe space where you can gently reconnect with your body. This practice promotes a sense of calm, resilience, and self-compassion, offering a valuable resource for anyone seeking a path toward healing and balance.
Information About the Free Trial Session
To participate in the free trial session, you can register on our website see below. Follow these steps to sign up:
- When booking your ticket, enter “+1” and then click “next.”
- Fill in your address details.
- Use the appropriate discount code:
- For the month November: TSY-november
- For the month December: TSY-december
- For the month January 2025: TSY-january
Once we receive your information, we will send you the Zoom link for your trial session within 48 hours, along with a few session guidelines to help you feel comfortable and well-prepared. In this email, you will also receive the password to access the session for free.
Please note: Each participant may attend one free trial session per month.
Plan Your Session
Each session lasts one hour, is offered online, and is available at various times during the last week of the month you’ve chosen (see our schedule on the website: https://www.traumasensitiveyoganederland.com/yoga-classes/schedule/
The free trial sessions are led by experienced and dedicated trauma-sensitive yoga facilitators, including Nicole Renne, Kathleen Egan, and Esther van der Sande. They bring their expertise and care to create a safe and supportive environment.
Important Dates and Access Code
- The free trial session is offered each month during the last week of the month.
- For November, the trial session is available in the week of 25th November.
- For December, the trial session takes place in the week of 16th December, in consideration of the holidays.
- For January, the trial session is available in the week of 20th January.
- You will receive the access code/password in the email along with the Zoom link.
Online Sessions in Your Safe Space
The session takes place online, allowing you to join from a familiar and safe environment. We recommend finding a quiet space where you can practice without interruptions. This helps create a safe space for everyone involved, allowing each person to fully focus on the experience.
What You’ll Need
To make your session as comfortable as possible, we recommend having the following items ready:
- A yoga mat or a soft surface to move on.
- Comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely.
- A cushion or blanket for added support, if desired.
- A stable internet connection for a smooth online experience.
Additional Information on Mixed Sessions
We warmly welcome participants of all identities. Please note that some sessions may include people who identify as male or female, contributing to a diverse and inclusive environment.
